U.S. Route 63 Resurfacing Project Awarded in Boone and Randolph Counties

MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to Chester Bross of Palmyra, Missouri, for a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 63 in the northbound lanes of Boone and Randolph Counties. The project begins 0.60 mile south of Missouri Route 22 in Boone County to 0.40 mile north of Randolph County Route EE at Moberly. The total cost of the project is $1,799,568.

“This project will provide pavement repairs and place a thin layer of asphalt to seal the existing concrete surface,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Haeffner.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed. The work could begin as early as this spring and should be completed before next fall.

“A more specific schedule will be shared after the contractor provides their plan for completing the work,” Haeffner added.
