Route 5 in Camden and Laclede Counties to Be Improved

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has approved contracts to improve two areas of Missouri Route 5 in Camden and Laclede counties.

APAC-Central was awarded a contract to resurface eight miles of Route 5 between the Niangua River and Route 7. The contractor submitted the low bid of $2.8 million. Meanwhile, Chester Bross Construction submitted the low bid of $1.9 million for pavement improvements to Route 5 between Route 7 south of Camdenton and Route 64 in Lebanon.

Both projects are scheduled to take place during the 2018 construction season. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
