Speed Limit to be Reduced on Portion of Route H in High Gate

MARIES COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will reduce the speed limit from 55 mph to 45 mph on a section of Maries County Route H in High Gate between the intersections of Maries County Route U and Maries County Road 450.

Enforcement of the new 45 mph speed limit will begin when signs are installed on Monday, Feb. 5.

The speed limit is being reduced as a result of a speed and traffic study, in which MoDOT traffic engineers reviewed speed and crash data.
