Highways and Transportation Commission Awards I-44 Improvement Project

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission today awarded a project to repair the pavement on Interstate 44 in two areas:

  • Laclede County: Eastbound and westbound lanes between the Elm Street interchange and Missouri Route 133.
  • Crawford County: Eastbound lanes between Route H and Route ZZ.

The low bid for the contract was $1,089,480 and was submitted by Chester Bross Construction.

Work will take place later this year, though a specific start time has not been established. MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media, once a date has been set.

Occasional lane closures are possible in the work areas.

For more information about these projects or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central or follow the Central District Facebook page at facebook.com/MoDOTCentralMissouriDistrict.
