Bridge rehab work along I-470 has been postponed

LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation has postponed is plans to resume bridge rehabilitation work on Interstate 470 at Little Blue River, Cedar Creek and View High Drive. The rescheduling has yet to be determined.

Crews will be shifting eastbound I-470 traffic to the westbound side of I-470 between Pryor Rd. and Blue Ridge Blvd. in order to continue rehabilitating the eastbound bridges along I-470. This traffic crossover will reduce I-470 to two lanes in each direction with narrow shoulders each way until late April. Commute times are expected to increase significantly. We strongly urge motorists to plan ahead and find alternate routes, if necessary. All work is weather dependent.
