Concrete Repair Project to Begin on I-70 in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY – A concrete repair project that will affect traffic during the evening hours on Interstate 70 in Callaway County will begin Tuesday, March 6.

Weather permitting, the work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each Monday through Thursday, with Friday serving as a make-up day for inclement weather or other delays. Concrete work is expected to be completed in approximately three weeks. Asphalt repairs will be made in Callaway County at a later date.

Motorists can expect overnight lane closures in the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 from the Boone County line to the Montgomery County line. Drivers are asked to follow instructions on the signs through the work zone. One lane of traffic in each direction will be open at all times.

This is part of a larger project that involves concrete and asphalt repairs on I-70 in Callaway and Cooper County. When concrete repairs are completed in Callaway County, contractors will proceed to make concrete repairs along I-70 in Cooper County.
