St. Louis Work Zones for March 8-14:

MoDOT to Close Lanes on EB I-44/NB I-55 downtown this weekend

ST. LOUIS – People heading into downtown this weekend should consider using I-64 or I-70, taking Metro or allowing themselves extra time as MoDOT will close eastbound I-44/northbound I-55 for pavement work starting Friday, March 9.

 

Crews will close:

  • Northbound I-55 at I-44 at 8 p.m. The detour will be marked.
  • I-44 at the exit to 7th and Park/Broadway at 8 p.m. The detour will be marked.
  • The ramp from EB I-44 /NB I-55 to Walnut will be closed at 7 p.m.
  • The ramp from 8th and Marion to eastbound I-44/northbound I-55 will be closed at 7 p.m.
  • The ramp from northbound I-55 to Gravois at 7 p.m.
  • The ramp from eastbound I-44/northbound I-55 to the Poplar Street Bridge at 7 p.m.

All lanes are expected to be open by 5 a.m. Monday.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, until December 2018, two lanes closed westbound from Arsenal to Shrewsbury.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, one left lane closed eastbound across the Poplar Street Bridge into Illinois until December 2018.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, one lane closed westbound across the Poplar Street Bridge through December 2018.
  • I-70, St. Louis City, starting at 9 a.m. Thursday through late March, the ramp from Adelaide to westbound will be closed.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed eastbound from Elm to Big Bend, until mid-March.

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the ramp from westbound to Walnut will be closed.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., one additional lane (three total) closed westbound between Arsenal and Shrewsbury.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., one additional lane (two total) closed eastbound over the Mississippi River on the Poplar Street Bridge.
  • I-70, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. until late March, the ramp from Adelaide to westbound will be closed.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed on the north outer road at Route 141. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,one lane closed at various locations eastbound and westbound between Route 141 and I-270.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Route 141.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane closed southbound between Dougherty Ferry and I-55.
  • Route 141, St. Louis County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., two lanes closed northbound and southbound at I-44.

 

Friday, March 9

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the ramp from westbound to Walnut will be closed.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, all lanes of eastbound will be closed between 7th/ Park and eastbound I-64.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., one additional lane (three total) closed westbound between Arsenal and Shrewsbury.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, all lanes of northbound will be closed between westbound I-44 and eastbound I-64.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, the ramp from northbound to Gravois, the ramp from northbound to Walnut, the ramp from northbound to eastbound I-64 (Poplar Street Bridge) and the ramp from 8th and Marion to northbound will be closed.

  • I-270, St. Louis County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane closed southbound between Dougherty Ferry and I-55.
  • Route 141, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed northbound and southbound between Vance Road and South Highway Drive.
  • Route 141, St. Louis County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., two lanes closed northbound and southbound at I-44.

  • I-44, St. Louis City, until 5 a.m. Monday, all lanes of eastbound will be closed between 7th/ Park and eastbound I-64.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, until 5 a.m. Monday, all lanes of northbound will be closed between westbound I-44 and eastbound I-64.
