Speed Limit Reduced on Portion of U.S. Route 63 in Osage County

OSAGE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has lowered the speed limit from 60 mph to 55 mph on a one-mile section of U.S. Route 63 in Osage County from just north of the Westphalia city limits to the Osage County Road 609 intersection.

New speed limit signs have been installed and enforcement of the new speed limit is in effect.

The speed limit was reduced to increase safety and reduce crashes based on a traffic study of speed and crash data reviewed by MoDOT traffic engineers.
