MACON – Weather permitting, Tuesday, April 3, U.S. Route 63 in Boone and Randolph Counties will begin to undergo a resurfacing project. The project begins 0.60 mile south of Missouri Route 22 in Boone County to 0.40 mile north of Randolph County Route EE at Moberly.
“This project will provide pavement repairs and place a thin layer of asphalt to seal the existing concrete surface,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Haeffner.
Chester Bross of Palmyra, Missouri was awarded the contract for $1,799,568. They have 87 calendar days to complete the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed. Signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through this area, and obey all work zone signs and personnel. Remember always buckle up and put your phone down to eliminate distractions.
