ST. LOUIS – Commuters who regularly use Manchester Road between Lindbergh and Big Bend in St. Louis County may want to attend an open house-style informational public hearing about construction that could start as early as 2020.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open house-style public hearing to share information about the project, which will resurface about five miles of Manchester Road. MoDOT is also planning to make significant improvements to sidewalks along the corridor, which may require the department to purchase right of way or easements. This hearing will also allow property owners to discuss their rights, and options, through the process.
During the hearing, MoDOT engineers will share information about current plans and updates for the projects. Those interested may attend at any time during the open house public hearing, as there will be no formal presentations.
The open house-style public meeting is noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in the Brentwood School District conference center, 1201 Hanley Industrial Court, St. Louis, MO 63144.
The school district asks that all attendees park in the south parking lot, to allow parents to pick up and drop off their children at the Early Childhood Center. In addition, they ask that people avoid parking in the lots of neighboring businesses. Since parking is limited, they encourage attendees to carpool.
This hearing will allow the public to get information about the project and to provide comments, either directly to the engineers or in written comments, on potential impacts due to the construction of this project.
