The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of March 19-30, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight Hours
Route B between Business Loop 70 and Brown Station Road – Sidewalk improvements continue.
* Work between Route B and Brown Station Road will include curb and gutter improvements, entrance improvements and excavation work. The project is scheduled for completion in June.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 124 between Route B and Route CC – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements are underway.
* Shoulder paving will begin during the overnight hours south of Centralia on Monday, March 19. Improvements on the Silver Fork Creek bridge west of Lake San Lynn Road will continue during the day. The project is scheduled for completion in June.
Callaway County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Boone County line and the Montgomery County line – Concrete repair continues. One lane in each direction will be open in the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Route 54 Bridge Improvements:
Here is a look at traffic impacts currently in place near the U.S. Route 54 bridges over Ozark Valley Railroad, Richland Creek and Business Route 54:
- The westbound Route 54 off-ramp to Business Route 54 in Fulton is closed.
- The Business Route 54 on-ramp to eastbound Route 54 in Fulton is closed.
- Eastbound and westbound Route 54 traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction through the work zone area. Route 54 traffic is head to head in the westbound lanes and separated by concrete barriers.
- Route 54 median crossovers at Callaway County Roads 114, 201 and 210 are closed.
Route 54 over Hiller’s Creek, north of New Bloomfield
Westbound Route 54 has been reduced to one lane. The lane reduction at this bridge is scheduled until the end of April.

Route D between Route 94 and Route O – Brush cutting will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route HH at County Road 214 – Ditch repair will take place on Monday, March 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route MM between County Road 388 and County Road 389 – Culvert pipe repair will take place on Thursday, March 22. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to see an alternate route around the area.
Route TT between Route 54 and County Road 496 – Culvert pipe repair will take place Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to see an alternate route around the area.
Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 Outer Road over Linn Creek – The bridge replacement project is on hold until warmer weather can allow for concrete pouring. No work will take place the week of March 19. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route 5 between Route 7 and the Niangua River – Roadway resurfacing will begin on Monday, March 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Roadway resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement is underway.
* Guardrail work will take place between Route 7 and Route E in Laclede County the week of March 19. Occasional lane closures are likely in the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cole County

Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.
* Excavation work continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The full project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 179 between Route N and Route 87 in Moniteau County – Brush chipping will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Crawford County

Route DD between Interstate 44 and Evans Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Interstate 44 South Outer Road between Grand Street and Trainer Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 240 between Route 40 and South Main Street – Brush chipping will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route O between County Road 105 and County Road 122 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route W between Route 240 and Route A – Brush chipping will take place Monday, March 26 through Thursday, March 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County

Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Roadway resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement is underway.
* Guardrail work will take place between Route 7 and Route E in Laclede County the week of March 19. Occasional lane closures are likely in the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.
Route 32 between Route N and Route Z – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 32 between Pin Oak Drive and Richmond Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, March 20. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Motorists are advised to see an alternate route around the area.
Route 32 between Paradise Drive and Pine Tree Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, March 21. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Motorists are advised to see an alternate route around the area.
Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route T and Parkway Road – Drainage repair will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 17 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition and guardrail installation is underway.
* Route 42 will be reduced to one lane at the Maries River and Fly Creek bridges beginning Monday, March 19. Traffic will be controlled through the area with portable traffic signals. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route P over Lanes Fork, west of County Road 439 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route JJ between Route T and County Road 205 – Brush removal will take place Monday, March 19 through Thursday, March 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.
* Excavation work continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The full project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 42 between Route 17 and Route 63 in Maries County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition and guardrail installation is underway.
