LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting pavement work along U.S. 50 at 3rd Street beginning on Wednesday, Mar. 21. This work is NIGHTLY and will have various lane and ramp closures. All work is weather permitting.
- Beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 21, until 6 a.m., traffic will be reduced to one lane along westbound U.S. 50 at the bridge over 3rd Street for pavement repairs.
- Beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 21, until 6 a.m., crews will CLOSE the off ramp from westbound U.S. 50 onto 3rd Street for pavement work along the ramp.
- Beginning at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 22, until 6 a.m., will CLOSE the eastbound U.S. 50 and 3rd Street on and off ramps for pavement repairs. Motorists must find alternate routes during the ramp closures.
- Beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 23, until 6 a.m., traffic will be reduced to one lane along eastbound U.S. 50 from 3rd Street to Route 291 for pavement repairs.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
