At Republic High School Focus of March 27 Public Meeting

Republic, Greene County – Area residents are invited to attend a March 27 public meeting to learn more about plans to build a roundabout on Greene County Route M at Farm Road 103/the north entrance to Republic High School in 2019, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The public meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, 6424 W. Farm Road 182. The meeting will be come-and-go style with NO FORMAL PRESENTATION planned.

Anyone unable to attend the in-person meeting can view the same exhibits and give their comments at an online public meeting at www.modot.org/southwest

MoDOT, in a partnership with the City of Republic and the Republic School District, will build a roundabout at the intersection of the north entrance to the high school, Farm Road 103 and Greene County Route M in 2019.

During the project, much of the construction work will take place south of Route M on property currently owned by the Republic School District. Lane closings on Route M and Farm Road 103 will be possible when crews build the connections between the roundabout and Route M. The north entrance to the high school also may be impacted during construction.

The estimated total project cost is $2.3 million dollars, which is being shared by MoDOT, the city, and the school district.
