Christian County Routes AA and JJ

Scheduled for Resurfacing Week of April 2

Christian County – Drivers can expect one-lane traffic and crews and equipment on Christian County Route JJ east of Ozark starting the week of April 2, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Route JJ and Christian County Route AA north of Nixa are scheduled to be resurfaced with a new asphalt driving surface. The project also includes adding up to two-foot wide shoulders on Route JJ.

Here’s a look at the projects:

  • Route JJ will be resurfaced between Route 14 and Route 125 east of Ozark.
  • Route AA will be resurfaced between Route 160/13 and the end of state maintenance north of Nixa.

During the week of April 2, crews will start building shoulders along Route JJ. Crews will work during daytime hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Drivers can expect one-lane traffic with flaggers and a pilot vehicle guiding drivers through the work zone.

Once all of the work is completed on Route JJ, crews will move to Route AA.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

Blevins Asphalt Company of Mt. Vernon will do the work for a low bid amount of $537,000.

The work is scheduled to be completed by November 1, 2018. However, contractor crews expect to have the project completed by late spring, barring construction or weather delays.
