PLATTSBURG, Mo. – A resurfacing project in Clinton and Clay counties is set to begin soon. Contractor crews from Ideker, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin April 2.
This project will take place over two sections of Route C: from Route 116 in Clinton County to Route CC in Clay County and then in Clay County from Route CC to Route 92.
The first part of the project, which begins this week, will include removing the bridge rail on the bridge just north of 172nd Street in Clay County. Contractors will follow that with working on box culverts approximately one mile north of Route 92. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic through the work. This portion of the project could take four to five weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Subsequent culvert replacements, resurfacing and shoulder work will follow as part of the overall project.
MoDOT encourages all travelers to slow down, especially in work zones, as there will be large equipment and workers near the driving lanes. As always, please buckle up, eliminate distractions, pay attention and drive safely so everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
