CASS COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting guardrail work along both directions of Interstate 49 between 223rd Street and 245th Street. This work will be daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Mar. 27, until Friday, Mar. 30. This work is in anticipation of bridge rehabilitation work that will have both directions of I-49 over the East Branch of the South Grand River reduced to one lane from mid-April to mid-August. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
