Taney County – Drivers can expect one-lane traffic and crews and equipment on Taney County Routes O, Y and T north and east of Branson starting the week of April 2, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
During the resurfacing work, drivers can expect one-lane traffic with flaggers on the road directing them through the work zone. Crews also will use pilot vehicles to lead vehicles through the work zone.
Here’s a look at the tentative schedule for the projects:
- Starting week of April 2, Route O near Kissee Mills will be resurfaced between Route 160 and the end of state maintenance. Up to two-foot wide shoulders will be added.
- Starting later the week of April 2, Route Y near Forsyth will be resurfaced between Route 160 and the end of state maintenance. Up to two-foot wide shoulders will be added.
- Starting the week of April 9, Route T east of Branson will be resurfaced between Route 76 and the end of state maintenance. Up to two-foot wide shoulders will be added.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
Journagan Construction of Springfield will do the work for a low bid amount of $1.2 million.
The work is scheduled to be completed by November 1, 2018. However, contractor crews expect to have the project completed by early May, barring construction or weather delays.
