JACKSON COUNTY – In preparation for roadway repairs, the Missouri Department of Transportation will CLOSE the two left lanes along southbound Interstate 49 between Highway 150 and 155th Street. This work has been rescheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 2, until 1 p.m. This lane reduction is so that crews can take road core samples. This was originally scheduled for Mar. 28 but has been rescheduled. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
