CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is issuing a warning about a possible impact to traffic. A private contractor for the City of Kansas City will close one lane of eastbound and westbound NW Englewood Blvd. just east of Mercier from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily beginning Monday, April 2 and continuing through Sept. 28 for utilities work. This work could impact motorists entering and exiting 169 Highway. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
