Work Suspended: Crews to replace storm sewers on NW Englewood Blvd in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY – Due to inclement weather, work on eastbound and westbound NW Englewood Blvd. just east of Mercier has been suspended and all lanes are back open. Originally, a private contractor for the City of Kansas City, MO planned to close all lanes

for installation of storm sewer boxes. The contractor says work is expected to resume sometime next week. We’ll keep you posted on when it’s expected to start again. As a reminder, this work could potentially have an impact on motorists entering and existing 169 Highway. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
