Westbound I-70 Exit to Southbound Route 61/Eastbound I-64 to Close Starting April 16

Exit Will be Closed for 42 Days

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the exit from westbound I-70 to southbound Route 61/eastbound I-64 for more than a month starting next week. The ramp will close on Monday, April 16 at 9 a.m. and will remain closed for 42 days.

Drivers can detour around the closure by continuing on westbound I-70, exiting at Route Z and getting onto eastbound I-70. From there drivers will be able to exit onto southbound Route 61/eastbound I-64.

In addition to the ramp closure, one lane on the southbound Route 61 overpass will be closed throughout the project. The open lanes will be reduced to 10 feet. Please use caution when traveling through the narrowed lanes.

The ramp and lane closures are part of a larger project to repair and resurface the ramps and lanes at the I-64/I-70/Route 61 interchange. The project will be completed in fall 2018.
