What: New traffic signals set to begin flashing – yellow for Chestnut Expressway and red for Ingram Mill Road
When: Afternoon of Tuesday, April 17
TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
- Drivers urged to use caution when traveling through the intersection
- New traffic signals will go into full operation on Tuesday afternoon, April 24
Project Facts:
- Build new roads on either side of Chestnut Expressway to provide access to area businesses
- Build a bridge on Chestnut Expressway over the railroad tracks west of Chestnut Expressway
- Install a new traffic signal at Ingram Mill Road and Chestnut Expressway
- Total project cost estimate: $14.8 million
- Project nearing completion
- Partnership project: city of Springfield, Greene County, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad, MoDOT
