ST. LOUIS – A section of Route 61 in St. Charles County will be closed intermittently overnight next week so crews can set girders for the new interchange at Route P/Peine Road.
Crews will close the left lane on northbound Route 61 at Route P on Monday, April 23 at 8 p.m. Then at various times throughout the night both lanes of northbound Route 61 will be closed for up to 15 minutes at a time so crews can move the girders into place. In addition, drivers coming off Route P will only be able to turn right onto northbound Route 61. There will be no access to southbound Route 61 throughout the night.
Crews will repeat this work on southbound Route 61 at Peine Road on Tuesday, April 24 with one lane closing at 8 p.m. and then intermittent full closures throughout the night. That night there will be no access from Peine Road to northbound Route 61.
All lanes will be back open by 5 a.m.
