LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting resurfacing work along east and westbound U.S. 50 and 3rd Street beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 23, until 5 a.m. the following morning. As part of this resurfacing work, there will be various ramp and lane closures. There will be no posted detour and motorists will have to find alternate routes during the repairs. All work is weather permitting.
-The on and off ramps from eastbound U.S. 50 at 3rd Street will be closed.
-The off ramp from westbound U.S. 50 onto 3rd Street will be closed.
-There will be various lane closures along east and westbound 3rd Street between Ward Road and Blue Parkway.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
