MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to Widel, Inc. of Blackwater, Missouri, for a bridge replacement on Audrain County Route J. The project will be at Littleby Creek, located 0.20 mile west of Audrain County Route O near Rush Hill. The total cost of the project is $706,030.
“This bridge has deteriorated significantly and the time to replace it has arrived,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Haeffner.
The bridge will be closed while replacement work is completed. The work could begin as early as this spring and should be completed by next fall.
“A more specific schedule will be shared after the contractor provides their plan for completing the work,” Haeffner added.
