Missouri Route 151 in Shelby County to Receive Bridge Replacements at Perry Creek & Ten Mile Creek

MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to Bleigh Construction Company of Palmyra, Missouri, for two bridge replacements on Missouri Route 151 in Shelby County. The projects will be at Ten Mile Creek, located approximately 3 miles north of U.S. Route 36 at Clarence, and Perry Creek, located approximately 2 miles west of Leonard. The total cost of the projects is $1,697,453.

“These bridges served area travelers for many years, but they have deteriorated significantly and the time to replace them has arrived,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Haeffner.

The two bridges will be closed while replacement work is completed. The work could begin as early as this spring and should be completed by next fall.

“A more specific schedule will be shared after the contractor provides their plan for completing the work,” Haeffner added.
