Deck Hydrodemolition Project Planned for Missouri Route 94 Loutre River Bridge

MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to Capital Paving, of Columbia, Missouri, for a bridge deck hydrodemolition project on Missouri Route 94 in Montgomery County.  The project will be at Loutre River Bridge, located 0.10 mile west of Missouri route 19 near McKittrick. The total cost of the project is $643,389.

“This bridge deck was needing several repairs, so we are removing ½ inch of the deck and installing a 1 ¾ inch concrete surface to extend the life of the bridge,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga.

The bridge will be closed while work is completed. The work could begin as early as this spring and should be completed by next fall.

“A more specific schedule will be shared after the contractor provides their plan for completing the work,” Maninga added.
