Where: Chestnut Expressway at Ingram Mill Road west of Route 65 in Springfield
What: New traffic signals GO INTO FULL OPERATION, cycling red, yellow and green in all directions
When: Prior to morning rush hour on Wednesday, April 25
TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Drivers urged to use caution when traveling through the intersection
Project Facts:
- Build new roads on either side of Chestnut Expressway to provide access to area businesses
- Build a bridge on Chestnut Expressway over the railroad tracks west of Chestnut Expressway
- Install a new traffic signal at Ingram Mill Road and Chestnut Expressway
- Total project cost estimate: $14.8 million
- Project nearing completion
- Partnership project: city of Springfield, Greene County, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad, MoDOT
