Pavement Repair to Close Ramps Along Interstate 70 at Midway

As part of the ongoing project to improve U.S. Route 40 in Boone and Howard counties, contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will close exit and entrance ramps at the Route 40/Interstate70 interchange west of Columbia next week. The eastbound I-70 exit ramp to Route 40 will close from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday, April 30, while the eastbound entrance ramp from Route 40 to I-70 will be closed from 7 p.m. until and 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1.

These schedules are subject to change based on weather and the contractor’s progress. The work is part of a project to resurface and make shoulder improvements to Route 40 from Route 5 in Howard County to Route UU in Boone County. The entire project is scheduled for completion in October.
