TRAFFIC ALERT

Northbound I-49 Bridge Over Spring River CLOSED, Traffic Shift/Lane Reduction Starting April 30

Where: I-49 bridge at Spring River and Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railroad in Jasper County (near mile marker 53)

What: Northbound bridge CLOSED and traffic shifted to southbound bridge with reduction to one lane in both directions

When: Monday, April 30

Traffic Impacts: Drivers should expect delays and lane closings as contractor crews close northbound bridge and shift traffic to southbound bridge, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph through the work zone. Traffic will be in this configuration until project to rehabilitate the northbound bridge is complete and work shifts to the southbound bridge. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes around the construction.

Weather and/or unforeseen delays will alter the work schedule.
