CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin paving operations along Interstate 35 in Liberty, MO starting, Monday, May 7 and continuing through at least Friday, June 1. During this period, crews will intermittently close northbound and southbound lanes of I-35 between Route 291 and Fishing River Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. Work will also cause some ramps to close on Route 152, Route 291 and 69 Highway. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
