Route 113 to Close South of Maitland

MAITLAND, Mo. – Route 113 will close as part of a resurfacing project. Crews from Herzog Contracting Corporation, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation have finished most of the work, but one section of road will need to close to complete the project.

The bridges over the north and south forks of Highly Creek are included as part of the resurfacing project. On Saturday, May 5, from daylight to dusk, the two bridges south of Maitland, approximately two miles south of Route A, and the connecting 0.21 mile section of Route 113 will close to accommodate the resurfacing equipment and crew. This portion of the project is anticipated to take one day to complete.

On Friday, May 4, the road will narrow to one lane in this section as crews prepare the roadway for resurfacing.

All work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled.

MoDOT encourages all travelers to slow down, especially in work zones, as there will be large equipment and workers near the driving lanes. As always, please buckle up, eliminate distractions, pay attention and drive safely so everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
