The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of May 14 - 25, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 at Bonne Femme Creek, south of Discovery Parkway – Bridge improvements and acceleration lane construction are underway. One lane will be closed through the work area.
* Access to Route 63 from Tom Bass Road is closed. A new acceleration lane will be constructed for the access from Tom Bass Road to southbound Route 63. All lanes are expected to reopen to traffic in June.
Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Contractors will begin pavement repair the week of May 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route B and Prathersville Road – Concrete repair will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route B between Business Loop 70 and Brown Station Road – Sidewalk improvements continue during daytime hours. Resurfacing on route B continues the week of May 14 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
*On Monday, May 14, the contractor plans to resurface the entrance and exit ramps at Route 63 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The ramps will be closed. Crews will work on the north ramps first, and finish with the south ramps. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.
Callaway County

Route 54 Bridge Improvements
Here is a look at traffic impacts currently in place near the U.S. Route 54 bridges over Ozark Valley Railroad, Richland Creek and Business Route 54:
- Westbound and Eastbound Route 54 will be reduced to one lane from the south crossover to the north crossover (from north of HH to north of Richland Creek).
- Eastbound 54 traffic will be reduced to one lane and switched to the passing lane of westbound Route 54 via temporary median crossovers, and westbound Route 54 traffic will use the driving lane of westbound Route 54.
- The westbound Route 54 off-ramp to Business Route 54 is closed. The Business Route 54 on-ramp to eastbound Route 54 in Fulton is closed.
These traffic impacts are scheduled until the end of May.
Route 54 over Interstate 70 - Bridge rehabilitation in the westbound lanes is underway.
* Two westbound lanes will be opened the week of May 14.
* The westbound I-70 exit ramp to Route 54 is closed. A temporary exit ramp has been constructed approximately two miles east of Route 54. The temporary ramp will detour I-70 traffic to Route 54 via the Old U.S. 40 outer road.
Delays are expected, especially during peak travel times. The project is scheduled for completion in late May.
Westbound Route 54 between Center Street and County Road 348 – Pavement patching will take place in various locations on Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 18. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 Outer Road over Linn Creek – Bridge replacement continues. Only the eastbound lane will be open through the work area.
* Westbound motorists will need to use the U.S. Route 54 crossover to connect with the Route 54 east crossover to travel east across the Outer Road bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in July.
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Roadway resurfacing, guardrail installation and replacement continue. Occasional lane closures are likely in the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 5 between Route 7 and the Niangua River – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) at Dix Road – Pavement repair and replacement will start Friday, May 18 at 9 p.m. through Monday, May 21 at 6 a.m.
- Business 50 (Missouri Boulevard) traffic will be restricted to 1 through lane in each direction.
- Eastbound Bus 50 (Missouri Boulevard) traffic will not be able to turn left to northbound Dix Road; eastbound Business 50 (Missouri Boulevard) traffic will be able to turn right to southbound Dix Road.
- Westbound Business 50 (Missouri Boulevard) traffic will not be able to turn left to southbound Dix Road; westbound Business 50 (Missouri Boulevard) traffic will be able to turn right to northbound Dix Road.
- Dix Road traffic will be restricted to right turns only at the intersection with Business 50 (Missouri Boulevard).
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guard rail replacement and bridge repair is underway.
* Rehabilitation work on the eastbound Route 54 bridges over Stadium Boulevard and Broadway Street is underway. One lane of eastbound Route 54 will be closed 24-hours a day from south of Stadium Boulevard to north of Broadway Street. During this work the on-ramp from Christy Drive to eastbound Route 54 will also be closed. Both lanes of traffic will be open for the Memorial Day weekend. After Memorial Day, the lane closure will resume and will remain in place until work on the eastbound bridges is completed in mid-June.

Route 100 Bridge over Deer Creek, east of County Road 319 – Bridge deck maintenance will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route E between Route 54 and Route B - Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. Route H between Route E and Tavern Creek Road – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. Route 19 between Route P and Wildcat Pride Drive – Pavement marking will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Roadside work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route N between Barton Street and the Washington County line – Roadside work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route HH Bridge over Dry Creek, south of Route 19 - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route YY between Route M and Route 68 in Phelps County – Roadside work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Dent County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route F over Holt Creek, south of Route 32 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed, and traffic is detoured around the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in June.

Route 19 between Route TT and Route 68 – Brush cutting will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 32 between Route 72 and Route 63 in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing is underway.
* Guardrail work and grading for the addition of a right turn lane at the intersection of Route 32 and Route 72 continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route 100 between Route 19 and Route N – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 28 and Route F in Crawford County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 40 between Crews Avenue and McGill Pointe Drive – Contractors will begin pavement repair the week of May 14. Work will be conducted each day between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Route T between Route 5 and Route 129 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Pavement work in the westbound lanes west of St. Robert continues. Guardrail repair and replacement will take place in various locations in the eastbound and westbound lanes. The project is scheduled for completion in August.
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Roadway resurfacing, guardrail installation and replacement continue. Occasional lane closures are likely in the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 32 between Route 5 and Route 17 in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 32 between Route 5 and Route B – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route J between Interstate 44 and Route 5 – Shoulder work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route CC between Route C and Route J – Shoulder work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Maries County

Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 17 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition, and guardrail installation continue.
* Route 42 is reduced to one lane in various locations between Vienna and Iberia.
Minimal traffic disruptions are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Miller County

Route D over the Burlington Northern/Sante Fe Railroad, east of Interstate 44 – Bridge replacement continues.
* Initial groundwork is underway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Pavement work in the westbound lanes west of St. Robert continues. Guardrail repair and replacement will take place in various locations in the eastbound and westbound lanes. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Route 63 between Route CC and Route CC in Texas County – Striping drive surface will take place the week of May 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route F between Route 68 and Route 72 – Roadway patching will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route J between Interstate 44 and Route K – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Contractors plan to strip drive surface the week of May 14. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
*Route M between Route J and Route T – Tree trimming will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route T Bridge over Little Piney Creek, north of Route P – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route CC between County Road 7120 and County Road 7140 – Roadside work will take place Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route YY between Route 68 and Route M and Crawford County – Roadside work will take place Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
