ST. LOUIS – As part of ongoing construction work to update six bridges in St. Louis City, crews will close Tower Grove under I-44 for a month, starting Tuesday, May 15.
Crews will close the roadway under the interstate, between Detonty and Lafayette, starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, to construct the new eastbound I-44 bridge over Tower Grove.
Detours will be marked. The roadway under the bridge will remain closed until mid-June.
This work replaces interstate bridges at Kingshighway, Thurman and 39th Street and rehabilitates interstate bridges over Vandeventer, Tower Grove and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
