St. Louis Work Zones for May 17 - 23

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Interstate 44 in Franklin County should be aware of some overnight closures happening this weekend. Crews will close westbound I-44 from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Route 100 in Washington. Drivers can detour around the closure by taking Route 100 (Washington) to Route AT to Route 50 and back to I-44. 

On Sunday, May 20, crews will close eastbound I-44 from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. at Route O. Drivers can detour around that closure by taking Route O to Route AT to I-44. 

During the closures, crews will demolish the St. Mary’s Road Bridge over the interstate.  In addition, St. Mary’s Road over I-44 will close on Friday, May 18 at 7 a.m. for three months while crews replace the bridge.

  • I-44, St. Louis City, the eastbound exit to Vandeventer is closed until early 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one lane closed westbound between Jefferson and Grand through 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, two lanes closed westbound between Grand and Kingshighway through 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one lane closed westbound between Kingshighway and Arsenal through 2019.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one lane closed eastbound from Shrewsbury to Jefferson through 2019.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, one lane closed eastbound across the Poplar Street Bridge into Illinois until December 2018.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, one lane closed westbound across the Poplar Street Bridge through December 2018.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, the ramp from Shrewsbury to eastbound I-44 is closed until December 2018.
  • I-70, St. Louis County, the ramp from southbound Route U to westbound is closed through late May.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, the westbound exit to southbound Route 61/eastbound I-64 is closed until early June.
  • Route 61, St. Charles County, access to Route P will be closed until September.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, one lane closed northbound south of Route 61 until late May.
