JACKSON COUNTY– The Missouri Department of Transportation will have a double right lane closure along southbound Interstate 49 between 140th Street and MO Route 150 on both Monday, May 21, and Tuesday, May 22, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. each evening. These nightly lane closures are for pavement repairs. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
