Work on Route 54 Bridge Over Stinson Creek to Start May 30

KINGDOM CITY – Rehabilitation work on the eastbound U.S. Route 54 bridge over Stinson Creek will begin on Wednesday, May 30. The bridge is located approximately 1 mile south of the Route HH interchange in Fulton.

The work will close one lane of eastbound Route 54 in the work zone area until the project is completed in late July. The rehabilitation work will allow the bridge, originally built in 1968, to provide an additional 20 to 25 years of service.

Electronic message boards will be in place to inform motorists about the work.

The Stinson Creek bridge rehabilitation is the final bridge included in a larger project to improve nine Route 54 bridges between I-70 in Kingdom City and New Bloomfield in Callaway County.
