Glenstone Avenue Pavement Rebuild

Update for Week of May 28
  • No work planned on Monday, May 28, during the Memorial Day holiday
  • Inside northbound and southbound lanes of Glenstone Avenue at Kearney Street and Evergreen Street closed ‘round the clock starting Tuesday, May 29 

Work Scheduled:  

  • Removing concrete pavement from the inside lanes of Glenstone Avenue at Kearney Street and at Evergreen Street 

Traffic Impacts:

  • Inside northbound and southbound lanes of Glenstone Avenue closed at Kearney Street and at Evergreen street ‘round the clock
  • Drivers will not be able to make left turns at Evergreen Street
  • One northbound and one southbound lane of Glenstone Avenue will remain open most of the time
  • Drivers can expect delays 

(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.) 

Project Summary:

  • Rebuild the deteriorating concrete pavement on Glenstone Avenue in four separate locations
    • At Evergreen Street south of I-44
    • At Kearney Street
    • At the railroad overpass north of Commercial Street
    • Between Lombard Street and Page Street
  • Sections at Kearney Street and at Evergreen Street under construction from May 29 until July 4
  • Sections at railroad overpass near Commercial Street and between Lombard Street and Page Street under construction starting in July or August
  • Total Project Cost: $3.7 million
  • Completion Date: November 1, 2018
