JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various lane and ramp closures along both east and westbound Interstate 70 between Phelps Road and Crysler Avenue beginning on Wednesday, May 30, until Friday, June 1. These lane closures are for pavement marking work. All work is weather permitting.
- There will be a double left lane closures along westbound I-70 from Phelps Road to Crysler Avenues beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
- There will be a double left lane closure along both east and westbound I-70 near Pittman Road beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
- The ramp from Blue Ridge Cutoff to eastbound I-70 will be close at 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
- There will be a double left lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Crysler Avenue to Phelps Road beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 1, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
This work is all a part of the demolition and reconstruction of the Crysler, Pittman, and Phelps bridges over I-70. Please use the zipper merge at the merge point. Take turns. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
