JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have a right lane closure along both east and westbound Interstate 70 between Pittman Road and Phelps Road beginning on Monday, June 4, until Tuesday, June 5. These lane closures are for barrier work. All work is weather permitting.
- There will be a right lane closure along westbound I-70 between Phelps Road and Pittman Road from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 4.
- There will be a right lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Pittman Road to Phelps Road from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5.
This work is all a part of the demolition and reconstruction of the Crysler, Pittman, and Phelps bridges over I-70. Please use the zipper merge at the merge point. Take turns. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
