Route TT in Joplin Scheduled for

Resurfacing at Night Starting June 4

Joplin – Drivers can expect lane closings and occasional traffic delays during nighttime hours when a project to resurface Jasper County Route TT (Newman Road) in Joplin begins on Monday, June 4, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Route TT will receive a new driving surface along a one-mile stretch of the highway between Range Line Road and Duquesne Road. 

Crews will work at night. Drivers can expect lane closings and occasional flaggers between 6 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday, June 4 through Wednesday, June 6.

All lanes of traffic will be open during daytime hours.

Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone.

Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.

Project Background

  • Prime Contractor: APAC-Central Inc., Fayetteville, Ark.
  • Completion Date: November 15, 2018 (However, the contractor expects to complete the work in just a few days)
  • Construction Cost: $378,000
