JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various lane and ramp closures on both nights and weekends along northbound and southbound Interstate 49 beginning on Tuesday, May 29, until Sunday, June 3. These closures are for paving work. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- There will various lane closures along:
- Southbound I-49 between Blue Ridge Blvd. and MO Route 150.
- Northbound I-49 between 163rd Street to MO Route 150.
- Southbound I-49 between MO Route 150 and 155th
- Northbound I-49 between MO Route 150 and Blue Ridge Blvd.
- There will be various ramp closures along:
- Eastbound MO Route 150 to southbound I-49.
- MO Route 150 on and off ramps to northbound I-49.
- 155th Street on ramp onto northbound I-49.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
