KANSAS CITY – As part of the Missouri Department of Transportation project along the I-435 corridor, crews will be CLOSING the outside lane of EB I-435 from State Line Road to Wornall Road from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow, May 30. The contractor will remove the barrier wall on the bridge. MoDOT anticipates this will have some impact on traffic flow through that area and recommends motorists review KC Scout cameras before you leave to scout potential back-ups or delays at www.kscout.net.
This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
