CASS COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction along north and southbound Interstate 49 between 223rd Street and 245th Street (between Peculiar and Harrisonville) on Monday, June 4 beginning at 9 a.m. until approximately November. Traffic will be shifted to one side of I-49 so that crews can conduct bridge rehabilitations at East Branch South Grand River at I-49. This work will have impacts on traffic along I-49 in this area. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, leave early, and if necessary, look for an alternate route. Scout alternate routes at www.kcscout.net. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
