MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, June 11th, Audrain County Route J will close for a bridge replacement at Littleby Creek, located 0.20 mile west of Audrain County Route O near Rush Hill. The new bridge will have a 4 foot wider driving surface than the existing bridge.
“With the significant deterioration of this bridge, we are glad to get this project underway,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Haeffner.
Widel, Inc. of Blackwater, Missouri was awarded the contract on this project in the amount of $706,030. They have 80 calendar days to complete the bridge. Signs will be in place in the upcoming week to notify motorists of the closure.
