The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract to Widel, Inc. to replace the Howard County Route V bridge over Doxie Creek west of Armstrong. The contractor submitted the lowest bid of $463,613.
The replacement of the 70 year-old bridge is scheduled to begin this summer and be completed in the fall. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
The roadway will be closed once work begins.
