Maintenance on two overpass bridges on Interstate 70 in Boone County next week will impact traffic on the interstate.
Missouri Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will work on the Sorrells Overpass over I-70, east of Route 40. That work will take place underneath the overpass, and close one eastbound lane and one westbound lane of the interstate from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, June 11 through Wednesday, June 13. Traffic on the overpass bridge will not be affected.
Crews will do similar maintenance work on the westbound exit ramp bridge from I-70 to Business Loop 70 west of the Route 63 Connector in Columbia. The work will take place from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 13 through Friday, June 22. While one eastbound lane of I-70 will be open through the work area, traffic on the ramp will not be affected.
