LEE’S SUMMIT – Beginning Friday night, June 15 at 8 p.m. through Saturday June 16 at 8 p.m., the Missouri Department of Transportation will CLOSE one lane of westbound and eastbound U.S. Highway 50 at southbound Route 291 in order to perform shoulder work. In addition, crews will be closing the right-hand lane of the roundabout for additional repairs. All work is weather dependent.
The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
