OAK GROVE – The Missouri Department of Transportation continues work on the bridge improvements in Oak Grove and has scheduled various OVERNIGHT lane closures on I-70 next week as part of this project. The closures are scheduled as follows:
- On Monday June 18, crews will CLOSE the left lane of eastbound I-70 at Route F in Oak Grove from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.
- On Tuesday June 19, crews will CLOSE the left lane of both eastbound and westbound I-70 at Route F from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- On Wednesday June 20, crews will CLOSE the left lane of westbound I-70 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
All work is weather dependent.
This closure is part of an extensive bridge project to convert the traditional diamond interchange to a diverging diamond interchange. The new DDI will increase left-turn capacity, improve traffic operation and reduce the number of crashes on Route F. In addition to the improvements to the bridge and traffic, the ramps onto I-70 will be lengthened to allow improved merging onto the interstate. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
