Overnight Lane Closures on I-70 Near Oak Grove Scheduled for Next Week

OAK GROVE – The Missouri Department of Transportation continues work on the bridge improvements in Oak Grove and has scheduled various OVERNIGHT lane closures on I-70 next week as part of this project. The closures are scheduled as follows:

  • On Monday June 18, crews will CLOSE the left lane of eastbound I-70 at Route F in Oak Grove from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • On Tuesday June 19, crews will CLOSE the left lane of both eastbound and westbound I-70 at Route F from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • On Wednesday June 20, crews will CLOSE the left lane of westbound I-70 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

All work is weather dependent.

This closure is part of an extensive bridge project to convert the traditional diamond interchange to a diverging diamond interchange. The new DDI will increase left-turn capacity, improve traffic operation and reduce the number of crashes on Route F. In addition to the improvements to the bridge and traffic, the ramps onto I-70 will be lengthened to allow improved merging onto the interstate. Learn more about the project here: http://bit.ly/2rBoFNc

The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
