MoDOT Holding Online Public Meeting for Intersection Improvements at Route 63/133 near Westphalia

OSAGE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding an online public meeting to share information about an upcoming project that will include improvements to the U.S. Route 63/Missouri 133 intersection near Westphalia in Osage County.

MoDOT is seeking input from the public about this project online at http://www.modot.org/central/WestphaliaIntersection.htm. The online public meeting will run from June 20-July 6.

The project will include realignment to improve sight distances at the Route 63/133 intersection and will include adding a right-turn lane on Route 63 to 133 and a left-turn lane on Route 63 to 133/Main Street. Also included in the project is an adjustment to Main Street alignment.

The project may begin as early December 2018 at the awarded contractor’s discretion and must be completed by the fall of 2019.

Traffic will be maintained on the route during the construction.

The total project cost is estimated to be $722,000.
